What Is True Success & How Do I Obtain It?
Man's Greatest Exploration...
Isn't the places he'll go out into the world, but it is the places he's willing to go deep inside of himself. It's having the courage to journey within. True success is becoming the next best version of yourself.
Success Is...
Not anything external, but it is everything internal. Success is a reflection of who you are on the inside. Success is using your gifts to add value to others. Success if an accumulation of repeated decisions, one after another. Success is forward progress. Success obeys God's law of cause and effect.
Success In The Kingdom of God Is...
Rewarded obedience multiplied. Success is alignment with your divine identity and purpose. Success is in the little things that compound over time. Success is 80% mindset. It's the being. It's what you can't see and what people don't see. It's in the becoming. It's the transformation that is happening in your mind, body and spirit. It's prayer, reading, studying, reciting affirmations, dreaming, visualizing, believing. This is the cause.
The Other 20%?...
That's the doing. It's what you can see. Sending the email, attending seminars, making the phone call, writing the blog, creating the business plan, making the video, lifting the weights, writing out the vision for your life. This part is the manifestation of the 80%. This is the effect.
The Recipe...
For success is:
5 cups of faith/belief in yourself & God's promises
4 cups of execution & trusting in God's word
3 cups of audacity & boldness
2 cups of focus
2 cups of discipline & consistency
1 cup of determination
1 cup of perseverance
And a healthy tablespoon of fear
At least, That's What...
I believe it takes to make your dreams come true. Disclaimer: I don't have all of the answers and I'm not exactly sure how it's going to turn out, but that's the beauty of all of this. I'm willing to be open so God can surprise me. As I go along, I may have to adjust the amounts here and there to reach my goals and that's ok. The point is, whatever your spirit is calling more or less of, listen to that.
Success Looks...
Different for everyone. My path will look different from the next person. What works for someone else may not necessarily work for me and that's okay. We are all on our own unique journeys. I apply what I think will work best for me and leave the rest for someone else. I pay attention to who I want to become in the midst of building my dream as my guide, as my personal measure of success.
When I See...
Someone driving a luxury car or when I drive around looking at big beautiful houses, I think to myself, 'Who did they have to become to have that? What books do they read? What skill(s) did they learn? Are they genuinely happy?'
Can't Have...
Success without some "losses". I put quotations around "losses" because do you really lose or do you learn? I like to believe the latter. Failure isn't truly failure if you've learned what you can do better next time. Failure forces you to go within. Failure forces you to adjust, pivot, change your approach. Failure gives you the opportunity to discover untapped potential on the inside of you. Failure introduces another version of yourself you never met before. It reintroduces you to who God is.
Failure Is...
A part of success, as death is a part of life. Don't be afraid of failure. It's how you perceive it that gives it value. You set the standard. It's what you say it is. Everything we experience in this life is neutral. It's what we give meaning to that creates our reality. Your life is a mirror of what you believe or what you don't.
So, My Love...
How do you define success? What does it look like for you? For me, success is doing the thing I said I'd do. Remember, it's in the little things. Ask yourself, 'What is one thing I can do today for forward progress?' Forward progress is the ultimate goal. Pick 3 goals a day and do them. Overtime, as you check them off, you'll notice your confidence begins to grow. Next, your capacity expands. Then, you'll start adding more things and knocking those down too. With every new habit, every goal you set out to accomplish, you are re-wiring your brain for success.
The Entire Point...
Of this, beloved, is not what you can acquire. It's not about how much money you can make or anything materialistic. The point is, your priority must be becoming exactly who God created you to be. It's you getting so good at stewarding what He gives you at this level so that you'll be prepared and ready to receive what He has just for you at the next level. YOU are the assignment. That is your life's work. Becoming and enjoying the process, doing good works, serving, giving, loving on folks, while you're becoming. From a caterpillar to a butterfly. That's you my love. You are here to see what all you can be.
You only get one life. Make it a good one. I love you.
With love & lots of suga,
Meika
